By using this website, you accept the following terms. They are a translation of the Portuguese version, which prevails in case of any discrepancy.
Scope of the service
Pormenor provides vehicle legalisation and paperwork services. It does not buy, sell, find, negotiate, transport or import vehicles. Buying and transporting a vehicle are the responsibility of the client or of third parties the client chooses.
Approvals, type approvals, tax assessments and the issuing of documents depend on the competent bodies, such as IMT, the Tax and Customs Authority, inspection centres and the Registry Office.
Information on the website
The information on this website is general and does not replace an assessment of your case. We aim to keep it accurate and up to date, but legislation and procedures can change.
Calculators
The ISV and IUC calculators give estimates, calculated with the tables in force and the details you enter. They are neither a quote nor a tax assessment: the tax amount is set by the Tax and Customs Authority, and Pormenor’s quote is given after assessing the case.
Quotes
Quotes are given in writing, after assessing the case, and state what is included in the service.
Intellectual property
The texts, design, illustrations and the Pormenor brand are the property of Pormenor. The Catamaran and IBM Plex Mono fonts are used under the SIL Open Font License.
BMW and M8 are trademarks of BMW AG. The car is illustrative: Pormenor has no connection with the manufacturer and handles the legalisation of vehicles of every make.
Dispute resolution
In the event of a dispute, consumers can use the Electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico) or an alternative consumer dispute resolution body. More information on the Consumer Portal (in Portuguese).
